KP Horary Chart Interpretation
Once the horary chart is cast, interpretation follows the same KP methodology as natal chart analysis — but applied to a single focused question. The process is faster and more binary (yes/no) because only the relevant houses matter.
7-Step Interpretation Protocol
Determine the primary house and supporting houses. E.g., for marriage: 7th (partner), 2nd (family), 11th (fulfillment). For job: 6th, 10th, 2nd, 11th.
Look up the degree of the primary house cusp in the KP table. Identify its star lord and sub lord. This sub lord is the main judge.
Does the cusp sub lord signify the primary and supporting houses? If yes, the promise is there. If it signifies only adverse/negation houses, the answer is NO.
List the Ruling Planets at the time of judgment. Do the significators of the queried house overlap with the Ruling Planets? Strong overlap confirms the answer.
Among significators that are also Ruling Planets, find which match the current dasha–bhukti of the horary chart. The antara of the matching planet gives the time window.
The event will coincide with the Moon transiting through the nakshatra of a prime significator on a day whose day lord is a Ruling Planet.
State clearly: YES or NO, and if YES, give the approximate time frame (month + year, or season). Never give a vague answer — KP is designed for precision.
Worked Example: "Will I Get This Job?"
Querent gives number 84. Judgment time: Thursday 11:00 AM.
- Sub #84 → Virgo 26°40' (Chitra nakshatra, Mars star lord). Ascendant = Vi 26°40'.
- House cusps are computed for this Ascendant at the judgment location.
- 6th cusp falls at Aquarius 10°. Star = Shatabhisha (Rahu lord). Sub = Mercury.
- 6th cusp sub lord = Mercury. Mercury is placed in the 10th house and rules the 10th. Mercury's star lord is Venus (placed in 6th house).
- Mercury signifies 6th (through Venus) and 10th (own placement/ownership) → Job is promised.
- Ruling Planets: Thursday → Jupiter; Lagna in Virgo → Mercury; Lagna star (Chitra) → Mars; Moon in Capricorn → Saturn; Moon star (Uttara Ashadha) → Sun. RP = {Jupiter, Mercury, Mars, Saturn, Sun}.
- Mercury is both a significator AND a Ruling Planet → confirmed trigger planet. If Mercury's dasha or bhukti is currently running, the job will come soon.
